Mr. Evans provides representation in corporate, commercial and litigation matters, both domestically and internationally. A/V rated by Martindale-Hubbell, his background includes representation of companies and individuals in international business transactions, construction matters and resolution of business and construction disputes. Additionally, he has assisted firms in negotiating, drafting and administering construction project contracts in the U.S., Canada, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
He received a B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1969, a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1972, and an LL.M. degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 2000. Mr. Evans re-entered the private practice of law after serving as Corporate Counsel with Fluor Corporation and Vice President & General Counsel of Behring International, Inc. He is admitted to practice before all Texas Courts, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
In addition to active membership in local, state, national and international bar associations, Mr. Evans is an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at the University of Houston Downtown. He has been a lecturer for various corporations and business associations, and has published articles on subjects such as international trade and enforcement of U.S. judgments abroad.
